Planning a trip to Italy?  This class is designed for those traveling to Italy for business or pleasure. Learn about the transportation systems, currency and culture, idiomatic phrases to help you get a taxi, asking/receiving directions, making reservations, shopping, food selection and, of course, making new friends!

Beginner Review

Through the grammar and reading of the book by S. Ciani and S. Gavelli  “Scoprire l’Italia”, students will review the major challenges in Italian grammar, including the verb system, areas of contrast with the English language, and some vocabulary issues. They will discover Italy through a treasure hunt with stops in Florence, Naples, Venice, Siena, Milan, and Agrigento. This course is focused on improving grammar and fluency.

Grammar Review

Requested by our students, this course will help anyone who wants to reinforce the understanding and application of basic Italian grammar. Each class will focus on a specific topic through drills, activities and games. The course is contingent upon reaching a minimum number of students.

Intermediate Review

In this course students at an Intermediate level will review the most important rules of the Italian grammar as: the difference between imperfetto and passato prossimo, the modal verbs; the present and past conditional, the subjunctive, the double pronouns, the Italian periodo ipotetico. Students will also read articles in order to improve their vocabulary and their conversational skills.

ITALIAN EASY READER – PASTA PER DUE

Intermediate Conversation

This Italian Advanced Conversation Course introduces the New Textbook “NUOVO MAGARI C1/C2” that aims to teach Italian Language & Culture through 5 different Macro-Thematic Areas (Geography, Society, Art, Language, and History), in which the student navigates to learn more about the Italy of yesterday and today, using all four main language skills: speaking, listening, reading, writing. This textbook is particularly good for students that have already an Intermediate level of Italian Language (preferably B1/B2 Level) and wanting to refresh and improve their skills at the Advanced Level (C1/C2) of Italian language.
