If you are interested in Italian language, food or culture the chef says "The best place to learn about Italy is in the kitchen."
Learning to prepare Italian cuisine is more than just learning to cook. It is about the atmosphere, the people and of course, the wine.
The cooking classes at Casa Italiana cover the preparation of various courses from around Italy: some are old favorites and some are the latest creations. These classes are participatory so expect to do a little work; most people discover once they let their inner chef out, the classes take on a new dynamic.
Get ready for some good food, good company and good wine!
In each class, you will learn to prepare four recipes from start to finish, get a good grasp of basic cooking techniques and an understanding of essential Italian ingredients. You will then sit down and enjoy the meals you cooked. Lessons start at 6 PM and last three hours. Classes include an average of ninety minutes of hands-on cooking.

UNLEASH THE GOURMET IN YOU! Italian Language & Culture through Food and Recipes
This course is aimed at students who possess a basic level of Italian and also who don’t speak a word of Italian . In this mostly conversational class students will “travel” through the Italian regions exploring food, recipes, traditions, and a pinch of history. Written productions are encouraged while grammar will be covered as it emerges from class discussion.
Cost: $ 300 + $40 for kitchen supplies
