Casa Italiana invites you to attend one of our "Seminari," a series of lectures hosted by Casa Italiana and italian journalist Valentina Accardo.

Each lecture will offer insight and fascinating "food for thoughts" on themes that examine Italy's political, social, economic and cultural facets.

Each of The Seminari from Casa Italiana will be an opportunity to learn about Italy from a different perspective, meet new people and interact with professionals who have researched the theme events as part of their journalistic coverage.

Casa Italiana will also be your host for an italian-style breakfast at each of these events.

Lectures will be conducted entirely in italian and are intended for advanced students.

Contemporary Italy
This course is designed for students who have completed the Advanced 4 course (or equivalent) and wish to acquire greater fluency, while learning about culture and life in modern Italy.
Students will research on Italian websites and practice on other contemporary written and visual material, in order to improve their reading, listening, and conversational skills. Learning material will be provided by the instructor.
As part or the course, each student will give a class presentation on a topic of their choice, related to contemporary Italy.
