A message from the author

This course is designed for students who have completed the Advanced 4 course (or equivalent) and wish to acquire greater fluency, while learning about culture and life in modern Italy.  Students will use chapters from the book ‘La Testa Degli Italiani’ by Beppe Severgnini (available through Amazon or ibs.it), research on Italian websites and practice on other contemporary written and visual material, in order to improve their reading, listening, and conversational skills. As part of the course, each student will give a class presentation on a topic of their choice, related to contemporary Italy.
