CONVERSATION on Monday – meets once a week- 12 weeks  

This course is designed for advanced students who wish to acquire greater fluency. Task oriented auditory practices, readings and excerpts from the book “Ciak…si parla italiano” by Garofalo P. that will be used as a base for conversation. Grammar will be covered as it emerges from class discussions.

CONVERSATION on Sunday- meets once a week- 12 weeks
A course designed for intermediate -Advanced students. Film viewing: “Pranzo di Ferragosto” : the challenges of old age.During the course students will refine, and review relevant points of grammar and critique a samples of movie’s passages. Through guided discussions students will improve their conversational skills and as always they will have activities involving speaking, reading, listening and some writing.

    "I CORTI" meets once a week - 12 weeks   NEW  

The focus of this intermediate-to-advanced course will be the screening of several corti (short films), one for each lesson. The course will be conducted in Italian. Each lesson will begin with an introduction of topics and vocabulary review, followed by the screening of a corto. After the screening, the students will improve their conversational skills through a guided discussion followed by ad hoc class activities involving some reading and writing. Grammatical and syntactical aspects will be dealt with as they emerge. The students will be expected to prepare a final presentation on a topic of their choice among those presented in the screened
