OUR TEACHERS
All instructors have extensive experience in teaching Italian as a second language (LS). The primary objective of all courses is to encourage and develop speaking and comprehension skills. Our holistic approach to Italian instruction will give appropriate attention also to reading and writing skills.

Need to stimulate your mind with something other than learning the language? With courses like mosaic, majolica (the ancient art of ceramic pottery indigenous to Italy), cooking and wine tasting events, you can immerse yourself in the culture and history of Italy.

TAKE A BREAK AT CAFFÈ ITALIA
We also know that the body needs to be fed just like the mind. Take a break from your course at Caffè Italia, a cafeteria-style hall that offers the flavors of Italy, from aromatic espressos and cappuccinos to delicious italian wines, to affordably-priced main courses of pasta and salads, with a different menu each day!
CASA ITALIANA LIBRARY
The library at Casa Italiana hosts a collection of thousands of books on many topics, it is often used by students and instructors but also by professionals for research. The most complete sections are Art, Culture and Italian Literature. The library is now undergoing major renovation. CILS is planning to re-open it as soon as possible for consultation. The spaces are open right now and a computer with internet connection is available to all students and instructors. Free wireless connection is also available in all classrooms and in the main hall.
CASA ITALIANA HALL
Besides sponsoring its own cultural and social activities, Casa Italiana Hall is also available for rent to other groups who wish to hold events of a cultural, religious, or social nature. Casa Italiana Hall converts into a comfortable dining room suitable for banquets and weddings, conferences, anniversaries and other professional gatherings.
